ANDREAS BUILT INFO:

This SCX10 from Axial is most definitely my favorite rig in my arsenal. It started out as a SCX10 Wrangler G6 Falken Edition (AX90036), which was an amazing performing rig right out the box. Fueled by my passion for building RC cars though, I could not resist all the amazing hop-up parts available, and so the nearly never-ending quest to build an awesome but yet not overly pricey jeep started. Two years down the line, I’m still impressed by the performance of this little truck and it is still my number one choice, which has served me well throughout two G6 competitions and tens of kilometers of trailing with my crawler buddies here in the Swiss mountains, forests and gorges.

As you will see in the photos, this rig is constantly evolving, but these are specs at the moment…

As the Lexan G6 Wrangler proved to be a strong but yet light weight body, it was clear to me, that I would again use this body but I would try to beef it up with awesome details and a bright red which would make it pop:

–          Angry eye grill from Knight Customs

–          Smittybilt Stingray Hood from Knight Customs

–          Hood latches from Knight Customs

–          Door hinges from Knight Customs

–          JK side mirrors from Loops RC

–          Rubicon rear fenders from Axial

–          Door handles from Killer Bodies

In my opinion, one of the things that make an RC car really come to life are the lights. I use

–          Rigid Light Bar from Axial and high output light controller

–          A rear light housing from the Axial Yeti which required some adjustments to make it fit on to the G6 roll cage

–          2 small standard light buckets for the rear

–          4 LED for the front

The roller consists of the Axial SCX10 chassis matched with

–          Various aluminum upgrade parts from Axial, Hot-Racing and a few other brands

–          SSD D60 Axles cases

–          SSD Truss

–          SSD Titanium links

–          Rock sliders from Pig Snot chassis

–          Stinger bumper

–          1.9 Method 105 from Vanquish Products in a rarely seen black – black color combo

–          Ultimate grip is provided by Team Ottsix Racing 1.9 Voodoo KLR Tires

The drivetrain needed to be able to withstand a lot of torque and abuse being powered by an awesome Holmes Hobbies motor!

–          Holmes Hobbies CrawlMaster Expert brushed motor

–          Metal gears from TFL

–          Steel Driveshaft’s from GPM

–          Metal CVD Driveshaft’s from Axial

–          ICON II Suspension from Axial

Electronics:

–          AE-5 ESC from Axial

–          SAVOX SC-0251MG digital servo with metal gears. It is not waterproof, but it has never failed me despite numerous submerges

–          RC4WD Warn Zeon winch. I recently opted for this winch, as it uses not one but two motors and therefore should always have enough power

–          RC4WD winch controller

–          When running so much electronics that draw a lot of power, it is absolutely essential to use a BEC. It will avoid power glitches and increase consistent handling. I use the Castle BEC 2.0
