FAN FRIDAY FEATURED BUILD BY ANTHONY SUNDER
Anthony’s build story;
This all started out as a spur of the moment type thing. I bought an Infraction a few months ago (we only just got into this hobby) and my son fell in love with it. So, I just gave it to him. One night we were looking at light kits and he said he wanted police lights. I took it to another level and said I’d make him a police car body with flashing lights. I put my order in for body, roll bar, etc. I then cleaned the body on the inside with a polishing cloth and masked off what I needed. Applied white and black paints from Duratrax and then finished it with a base white. Applied the Arrma decals and the 1/10th police decal kit that I found online. Then I took pics and posted on social media. I was taken back by the amount of likes I received……Instagram, Facebook, Arrma forum and even Arrma’s website! Then I got this crazy idea of getting another infraction for myself and then it dawned on me. Why not make another themed body! Seeing as I wanted to play with my son, I thought it would be both funny and cool to go with the Dukes of Hazard. Again, ordered another body and simply prepped by using a polishing cloth. Duratrax has a color called “competition orange” which looked perfect. Found the General Lee decal kit. There’s my story and how I came together with the Dukes of Hazard theme builds. I guess it was another way of father & son bonding together. I guess for a lot of the older guys it was a trip down memory lane, watching the show as a kid. I hope to be making a chase video at soon point too.
