FAN FRIDAY FEATURED BUILD BY BETHANY SIMMONS
Bethany’s build journey;
Hello Everyone…I’ve been a Fan of RC’s & Photography for a couple of years, I first started out going to the local tracks and taking pictures of RC races and Crawler events. Last year I wanted to get my own crawler and join the RC Fun that everyone was having so I bought my first RTR crawler and started going on the local crawling group trail runs and eventually got enough courage to enter a crawling competitions. After a few competitions I wanted my own crawler kit to build so when the Axial SCX10 III Jeep was released I just had to have it. It was my first build and challenging for me, but I learned so much…especially how everything worked mechanically. I’ve been a Wonder Woman fan since I can remember so I wanted my first build to be Super Special, so I decided to top it off with my Favorite Superhero!
My Wonder Woman Crawler is an Axial SCX10 III, with a Holmes Hobby 20T Crawlmaster Motor powered by a Hobbywing 1080. I’m running an RC4WD Twister servo for the steering, I decided to have the 2 Speed Operational and I disabled the DIG feature, I have the 2 Speed operated by a Spektrum SX107 Micro servo. The winch setup is a RC4WD “Warn” 9.5cti 1/10 scale winch with an RC4WD wired winch controller. I came up with how I wanted the Jeep Body Painted with the Wonder Woman scheme and contacted a good friend of mine that owns “Pro Lidz Custom RC Paintwork” and he did an amazing job that finished off my Wonder Woman crawler build.
I also have created a growing group on Facebook Called “RC Ladies” for the Ladies in RC that would like to learn, help each other, & share their RC Pictures.
