FAN FRIDAY FEATURED BUILD BY BREC BARRETT

Brec’s build info;

Brec Barrett here @barrett_rc so, I basically started with a sand scorcher body with the dream of making an a-arm long travel v8 Baja bug with trailing arms. Taking a lot of the inspiration from full size Baja bugs.

Chassis: 3/16 aluminum base plate attached to 3/16 stainless steel rod tig welded to fit snug up in the bug body made to utilize trailing arms and dual shocks all the way around with a skinny front skid plate. Back half has the Velineon 3s ESC with a plastic ls3 motor fan on top with a custom metal intake system. Custom cut plates with cut outs and netting for cooling and painted gloss black.

Sand scorcher body: painted with a dark metal flake red and a metal flake black with a gold pin stripe going through it.

Wheels:8 spoke gold aluminum 1.9 bead locks wrapped with old style BFG replicas

Shocks: King shock replicas by RC RUN with adjustable remote reservoirs using internal springs to help with the extra weight

Motor and trans: using a Traxxas slash transmission reversed in the chassis for room and handling and a Velineon 3500kv motor and slash driveshafts.

Front arms: Axial Yeti lowers modified to take dual shocks and custom stainless steel upper arms.

Rear trailing arms: 3/16 stainless steel plate with custom bearing carriers and dual shock mounts

Steering:20kg anodized blue servo with Traxxas Slash bell crank and turn buckles connected to slash c-hubs and castors

Seats: pro gray seats with 5-point seatbelts mounted to the stainless-steel battery tray & SRC plastic radiator with fan for scale looks.
