Friday feelings, it’s Dion’s world and we are just trying to live in his scaling shadow!!! Lord his patience and attention to detail is surreal, she says kicking a pile of unfinished parts in the corner.

 

 

 

Dion’s Build info:

I’ve been back into the Hobby since 2012.  Here is my AEV Jeep TJ Brute build. The body is an old Sector 7 Jeep TJ that has been cut and heavily modified using black styrene and ABS and is hand crafted utilizing different techniques including vacuum forming the removable roof.  The sliders, roll bars, front and rear bumpers are done by Wrencher from SBG.  It is mounted onto an Axial SCX10 Chassis using my own crossmembers and skid plate designs to allow the use of a SSD scale transmission and a MrCommaD 3D printed engine. SSD D60 axles are paired with Vanquish Products Stage One knuckles/Chubs/lockouts front and rear.  Links are custom made from stainless steel and Revo rod ends.  It runs RC4WD 110mm King shocks up front mounted to my own steel shock hoops, and in the rear is 70mm King shocks mounted to my own version of a cantilever suspension. Tires are RC4WD 1.9′ x 4.75″ Goodyear Wrangler MTR’s mounted on RC4WD 1.9″ Fuel Trophy wheels backed with RC4WD Disc Brake hubs and stuffed with Crawler Innovations dual stage foams.  The electronics I chose for this build are Savox 1283sg servo, Holmes Hobbies BR-XL ESC paired with a Holmes 35T TorqueMaster Pro motor and a Castle Creations 10a BEC.  Lighting is done with a HeyOK basic light controller and sound comes via a Sense Innovations ESS-One sound module hidden in the crate located in the box of the Brute. All accessories under the hood are by Scale Design by MrCommaD and the whole build is assembled using Locked Up RC scale Hardware.
