Josh’s build story;
I recently wrapped up my Farm Truck RC Rat rod build. As usual for me it’s a scratch built steel chassis but this time designed with dirt roads in mind. It has radius arm front suspension with RC4WD shocks with a unique and functional mounting situation hanging the Tamiya semi-truck drop axle. The rear is an RC4WD Yota 2 with a short 4-link that still give a ton of flex with a similar shock mount setup from the front. The body is from my friends at Shapeways and was designed by M-Customs. Done with an iron paint and rusted completely. The grill is from Ossum designs (Shapeways store) and has been patina’d red and rusty. The headlights were the starting point for the build and are from industrial air guns, lol. These are old and tattered aluminum with Tamiya yellow lens that luckily snapped right in. G-Made 1.9’s in bare steel and rusted with vinegar and peroxide for a real aged look and are wrapped in RC4WD 1.9 Dirt Grabbers on the back and 1.7 super wides up front. The scale Ford Flathead V8 was designed by M-Customs and modified and printed by Nightcrawlers3d to hide the Tamiya can motor that is mated to the RC4WD TCI scale transmission. Good affordable Hobbywing ESC runs it and it is a blast in the dirt and gravel.
