FAN FRIDAY FEATURED BUILD BY JOSH MORGAN FROM SCALE ADVENTURERS
Josh and his sunny side cheery yellow WallyJeep has just got to put a smile on your face. It will soon be a New Year celebration and this Fan Friday will get your weekend off to the right start.
Josh’s Build Comments:
Wallyjeep is a low riding rock crawler / trail truck, with a two door jeep JK (hard) body with a full interior that’s been custom made to look like a small bed pick up. It has a custom made roll cage, custom rock sliders and custom front and rear bumpers. The truck is built on an Axial SCX10 chassis with a GCM Racing front motor mount kit to allow room to fit the interior. It also has a chassis mounted servo and moving forward to the front there’s a SSD OX power winch with 60lb shock leader fishing line as my winch line. At the rear of the truck I have two little boxes where I keep my electrics and batteries, the batteries I use on this truck are two Turnigy 1600mah 2s lipos in series and the box has been made to look like a fuel cell. Going on to the electrics I use a HOBBYWING 1060 water proof ESC, a GoolRC 35T brushed motor, a Hitec HS-646WP servo, a cheap speed controller off of Ebay for the winch, a Spektrum 3 channel receiver and a full GoolRC light kit. A recent purchase was an awesome set of BoomRacing Axial SCX10 II all alloy axles, they are so nice! The axles are on a 4 link set up with pan hard, diff covers, 90mm King shocks and they all roll around on a set of 1.9 SSD D hole scale beadlocks and Pitbull Rock Beast XL tyres with soft foams.
