FAN FRIDAY FEATURED BUILD BY MATTHEW LASS AKA….. RATBOY RC CUSTOMS
Summer is in full bloom! We want to share a cool scoop of RC love to Ratboy Rc Customs…. Everyone stretch, cause his rigs are quite flexy!
Some words by: Matt lass aka RATBOY RC CUSTOMS.
This is my project frame twister ….first time I saw this was on a TTC an old Power Wagon, it was a massive rig with a swivel frame controlled by hydraulics. Ever since I saw that rig, I’ve been wanting to do it….. I started planning it, I knew what chassis I wanted to use just had to figure out how to make it swivel when I wanted it to. My friend Blazer told me to check out Servo City, I finally found what I needed… Ordered it that day and gave up my Axial Score to get the SCX10 … I converted the rear to leafs and remounted the trans, moved the battery to the front and started the body work. The body is a Clod body cut and made to be able to swivel. Created a Ratboy RC Customs 3d printed grill. I made and welded mounting brackets to the frame to support the robotic servo. It is controlled by a Hi tec servo, but needs more torque. Runs on a Tactic 3 channel…. There is still more to do and so far all the abuse and testing it is working great…. A lot of people don’t agree with it because they think it’s too much flex….. I agree to a point this setup is not good in free motion. I have to be able to control it, I can have more flex when needed and will go more places than my other SCX10 will.
