FAN FRIDAY FEATURED BUILD BY TODD NORTON
Read on for Todd’s Build INFO:
“This whole build started from thinking out side of the box. Most large rigs people use a Tamiya body that is actually way too small. They look good in pictures by themselves but look odd next to say a stock Axial rig. I first contacted Mark from BPC Chassis and gave him my specs. Because I wanted it to be a accurate scale 1/10 scale rig based on a Axial Wraith. I asked him for rails that were way different than anything he had done before. I actually had him make the rear 10” longer than normal, so I could cut them off to my liking.
The Kraz 255 is a Ukrainian military vehicle that is similar to the US deuce and half but much larger.
Specs: 32” long, 16” tall, 13” wide and weighs in at 28lbs. Wrath based using a BPC custom chassis. Pictures included. 1.9 Boggers on 2.2 military rims. Fully detailed engine compartment and interior. It’s fully built with hardened gears throughout and MIP drive-lines. Ar60 axles with Beeftubes of course.
Electronics: Holmes Puller Pro 2700kv with a Holmes Trailmaster BLE and a Protek 370BL servo. Lighting is done with a HeyOK High/Low voltage light controller. Head lights and tail lights on low voltage and VP light bar and rock lights on high voltage. The most recent mod was to get rid of the real Redwood logs. 9lbs really made the ass sag and severely hurt the vert climbing ability. I 3D printed new hollow logs that only weigh 1.8lbs. Huge difference! It will climb like a goat now. If it can’t go over the rock, it will move the rock! This thing is a BEAST!”
